About Me:: I’m a conservative with a business degree (major Accounting) from Indiana University, and MBA from Northwestern University (Kellogg Graduate School of Business).

I also studied Microsoft networking and held the credential of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) specializing in NT and partnered in a Chicago based firm building and expanding new networks, server systems and expanding workstations.

I served three (3) years in the United States Regular Army (enlisted); Vietnam Era Veteran. Trained at Fort Lewis, Washington.

I have a son in the Army, my brother served in the Army, and I lost an uncle during WWII who died in the Battle of the Bulge at Ardennes, Belgium. I firmly support our volunteer men and women in the Armed Forces and believe they should be treated with respect and dignity, no matter one’s politics.

My interests have moved to e-Commerce and my long-term goal, a work-in-progress, is becoming a successful e-Commerce merchant dealing with antique and collectible glass, china, porcelain, oil lamps, railroad lanterns, vintage jewelry, fountain pens, restored steamer trunks and retro 40’s, 50’s, 60’s glass.

I am currently busy restoring a number of steamer and vintage wardrobe trunks for eventual sales and reinvestment for antique glass and more trunks. It’s a fun way to skip the corporate world of my past, the responsibilities of my former accounting, technology and consulting firm while continuing my entrepreneurial endeavors.

I also have a great love of Chicago, their National League baseball team, the Chicago Cubs, fly fishing and hiking.

My ideals are conservative and are well established. Liberally Conservative is my place to opine about the craziness of American politics, Beltway insanity, world events, immigration and the war on terror, as well as the American political process, which unfolds on a daily basis.

As a Conservative I would say the term “neo” does not belong as I was a Conservative before Reagan and noticed my politics during my first Sociology class as a freshman in College. The left-leaning topics or should I say, “spin” bothered me as other Liberal Arts classes did.

I’m not part of the Evangelical Right but I believe in gun laws, not gun control, I am pro-life, anti-tax, anti-Big Government, anti-regulation except in cases where the public’s safety is at risk and I’m a Capitalist. I believe in free trade, open markets and global economics. Economic competition is a good thing, which results in better products, services and lower prices. Free markets do the good no politician could ever accomplish through policy and meddling.

As my blog has grown I’ve be recognized at CBS.com, contributed articles for Agora Vox, a European online newspaper for citizen writers, frequently referenced in many blogs and occasionally sited on The Wall Street Journal’s, Washington Wire and other news organizations.
